Seborrheic dermatitis

The baby acne did not take over our sweet girl. Something called seborrheic dermatitis did.  The doctor explained it as "like cradle cap for the whole body".  Basically it's got to work it's way all the way to Kyra's feet and then it goes away.  How long it will take to works itself through the system varies so she couldn't help me there.  I was relieved when she told me it was nothing I had done or eaten that caused it.  We could use a cortisone cream to relieve some of the redness but there is basically nothing else we can do for it.

Let me just tell you, this stuff moves fast! Hopefully it will continue to move quickly and get through her system (it definitely bothers me more then her, I want to "fix it").  We had assumed it was baby acne for about a week and then it started to over take her.  Yesterday within an HOUR it had moved all the way down to her neck so I called the doctor.  It was unlike anything I'd ever seen.

On the poop report Kyra is just fine.  The doctor said Kyra's bowels were just changing but they were moving beautifully (she said as she had the stethoscope against Kyra's belly).  Thankfully though, they had taken her temperature so within 30 minutes of getting home Kyra's bowels moved. Thank you thermometer! haha!

Doctor's appointment.

We had a doctor's appointment yesterday, Baby Bear and I.  I came out with a huge smile.  It was quite the polar opposite of our last appointment.  The last appointment I left feeling defeated and like I had tried so to keep the weight down for nothing. The idea of a VBAC seemed like it was slipping away. Then, BAM, yesterday happened. I got to see one of my favorite docs.
The prognosis is great.  Dr. W and I discussed the VBAC option and basically we're playing it like a normal labor UNLESS we have the 36 week ultrasound and Baby Bear looks like he/she is going to be a whopper (basically around Teagan's size- 8lbs 10oz) and then we schedule the c-section.  Which, honestly, Josh and I are both okay with.  Like I've said before I would prefer to be able to deliver naturally but as long as the end result is a healthy baby and healthy mommy then it's okay either way.  So, we are back to an extremely optimistic outlook on this labor/delivery! Hooray!

Ear infections

Here we go again.  My brave trooper has another ear infection.  Did we know it? No.  Did she have a fever? No. Was she complaining? No.
I took her in because she had developed a slight cough that was going on about 2 weeks and because she had a ¨crazy not herself day¨ yesterday.  I slightly (and I stress slightly) thought there could be an ear infection possibility because she had dug in her ears about 2 times in the last few days.  She´s NEVER done that before even when she had the last ear infection that lasted 3 months.  I thought it might be water in her ears from her baths but it looks like I should start listening to my motherÅ› intuition more often.
The doctor said we caught it at about a 4 on a 1-10 scale so I feel pretty good about that.
I just hope we aren´t on the road to tubes.  The thing I really can´t get over is the ear infections never seem to bother her.  Please keep Teagan in your thoughts and prayers that this antibiotic works & we don´t have another 3 month ear infection that leads to tubes.
