Yesterday on our ride home from school I asked Teagan what she did. This is how the conversation went:
Mommy: Teagan, what did you do at school today?
Teagan: I didn't hit! (which is hilarious because she is not a known "hitter" at school)
Mommy: Very good, Little Bear! I'm proud that you didn't hit your friends! Did you get to play today?
Teagan: Yes.
Mommy: What did you play?
Teagan: Dress up!
Mommy: What did you dress up as?
Teagan: Princess!
Mommy: Did you dress up by yourself?
Teagan: No, Colby too!
Mommy: What did Colby dress up as?
Teagan: Princess too!
Mommy: Oh, okay. What else did you do today?
Teagan: Me and Tilda read books!
Mommy: What book did you read?
Teagan: Sam.
Mommy: I've never heard of that book, what is it about?
Teagan: Sam and Tilda.
Mommy: What do Sam and Tilda (who happens to be the name of her best friend) do in the book?
Teagan: Play and read books but not sleep. Dress up too!
Mommy: That sounds like fun!
Teagan: Tilda read Alligator Under My Bed at grandma and grandpas.
Mommy: What is that book about?
Teagan: I slammed the door! Dad have trouble with the garage in the morning. I leave him a note there is alligator in garage.
Mommy: That sounds like a great story!
Teagan: Yeah, Tilda read it. Not me. I read Thomas now, Mommy.
Mommy: Okay, Little Bear.

Oh the things she says.
This morning we were in the car on the way to school and Teagan just starts chatting away....I love it when she does that.
"We can't drive over the mountain, Mommy"- T
"Why not, Little Bear?" -Mommy
"Because the car will get DIRTY!" -T
"Then how do we get over the mountain, Teagan?" -Mommy
"Tilda and Teagan take off shoes and walk. Just Tilda Teagan."-T
So, nobody else is allowed to go over the mountain, especially not in the car because the car will get dirty, but "Tilda-Teagan" are allowed to go over with their bare feet...Where does she come up with this stuff? Oh to have the imagination of a two year old again...

Yeah, I'm pretty proud of her.
Teagan's school/daycare Christmas program was Tuesday. If women in that audience didn't want a child before coming to see it then they certainly had baby fever by the time they left. Talk about cuteness overload. Anyway, I digress. The whole point of this post was to brag on Teagan and her bff Matilda. They were chosen to sing Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus. They both knew every word and sang it proudly, until they got on stage. On stage Teagan was laughing at everything that moved and Matilda tried to eat the microphone that wasn't on. It was hilarious. I was so proud of her and Matilda though at the fact they were the two chosen, out of eight, to sing Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus. We've got some pretty smart cookies!

Playdates
I am so thankful for Teagan's best friend, Matilda! She is such an adorable and sweet little one! If you've read the blog for a little while you know that Teagan and Matilda "Tilda" share the same birthday! Teagan is a mere 2 hrs older! Matilda has been a blessing for Teagan and Matilda's mom, Tara, has been a blessing to me! It's nice when you click with your child's best friends parents! There aren't many days during the week where she and I haven't shot a txt or a message to each other about something. Teagan and Matilda have reached each of their major milestones within days of each other so it's been nice to have somebody to bounce stuff off of when it comes to these things!
Even though Teagan and Matilda get to see each other every day during the week we like to try and get them together outside of school. This Saturday we had the chance! Matilda and Tara came over to the house for a playdate! It was so much fun! The girls loved seeing each other. Teagan was saying "Tilda, Tilda" all morning and the look on her face when they pulled in the driveway was priceless!
The girls played in the house then got on their swimmy diapers and played in/around the pool and then came in for a good PB&J (hello, homemade strawberry jelly made by Grandma!) and then played until a little after 12. At that point both girls were well beyond exhaustion and so Tara and Matilda headed home. It was such a great morning! We can't wait to do it again!
Oh, yes! Of course there are pictures! Be cautious though. Like I said before. The sweetness surpasses a chocolate cupcake with extra icing and sprinkles!

Arts & Crafts Day!
This week was Teacher Apprecition week (or at least it was at Teagan's school). We love Teagan's teachers and of course we wanted to do something (after Matilda's mom reminded me it was this week). We've been very blessed in finding friends in Matilda's parents and so since the girls have met we've done teacher presents together. This time was no different. We wanted to do something special for them that nobody else could do and so we decided they would paint flower pots and we would put flowers in them and drop them off this morning.
The girls painted Wednesday after "school" and it was adorable! We stripped them down to nothing but diapers and let them go. They were more interested in painting the INSIDE of the pots then the outside. We finally got them to paint the bottom and eventually some of the outside got painted. After about 15 minutes they were both done. Tara did manage to get a few before, during and after pictures. They were so cute!
Of course after they painted "the pots" (aka: themselves) we just stripped them down and tossed them in the bathtub. They had such a good time in the bathtub. They spashed each other, washed the paint off each other, swtiched washcloths and splashed some more. Neither one of them wanted to get out until they hear it was time to eat and then they were okay. Tara fixed chicken tacos and the girls loved them! Teagan and I are so thankful for good friends!
When it was time to leave Teagan didn't want to leave & Matilda didn't want her to leave. It took us forever to get actually out the door or even to get to the car. But Tara couldn't resist getting a few pictures. She told me Matilda stood at the door and waved forever after we had pulled out of the driveway.
